The rising graph of corruption it is a big cause of political instability in a society. It has become multifaceted. Ironically people feel pride in getting their works done by paying little bribery.
For many years economists have believed that the real problem was controlled economies and corruption itself was not a problem. According to economic theories, needless government intervention in the functioning of market decreases the efficiency. The economists suggest the solution of this menace that to scrap all irrational interventions by the government in the economy.
Further corruption has turned into an uncomfortable discovery. The launching of free-market economic-reform programs in the last two decades, which emphasis on cutting budget deficit, decreasing subsidies and coping inflation, these phenomena can make the corruption worse. Indulgence and involving in corruption is no longer looked upon as an immoral and loathsome act. Rather a person who could not amass wealth is humiliated either as coward or a fool. So, many of the people are in the grip of its spiral. Motivating examples of earlier honest heroes and religious and moral codes have failed to bring any good result.
Corruption is a multifaceted issue. This is a deplorable, immoral, pervasive, derogatory, striking and detestable phenomenon. In the world of today, this is considered like a cancer that affects the whole organization of politics and causes the base of several threats to the existence of a nation. Every corrupt person wants to get rich overnight. It is reality that wrong discretionary powers and menace of corruption are alter ego of each other. It is also a reality that power corrupts and absolute power corrupt absolutely. Less accountability on the part of the public servants increases the corruption. Only men of rectitude and honor on positions of power should be ensured. Human conduct is regulated by law, morals and religion. Although, all three morals, law and religion are taken different to each other, yet they are interlinked and interdependent. Any social setup which manages its conduct by observing moral values and norms, and practicing the principles of religion deserves to be admitted as a civilized society.
Corruption as a low-valued practice, moral degeneration and inhuman value has become a talk of town even in the third world countries. The menace of corruption has assumed chronic and endemic status. The anti-corruption fight and struggle to expose the reality of so-called God-fearing and honest and to bring them before the wrath of oppressed is commendable. It is a cause which seems risky but once the movement begins with dedicated and honest leadership based on clear perspective and scientific ideas and methods, the social revolution will naturally be the result.
